Inspire the next generation with your knowledge and experience! This course is perfect for anyone who is looking to teach their trade, either in a classroom or in a vocational capacity. Maybe you’re a hairdresser looking to share your knowledge with others, or possibly an electrician who wants to pass on the skills they have learnt throughout their career.
Previously known as CTLLS, this qualification is suitable for both in-service and pre-service (those who are not currently employed in education).
The qualification allows learners to progress into employment as trainers or tutors, dependent on the employers’ minimum requirements. Therefore you could become a full or part time tutor at your local college, or even a qualified trainer in the workplace.
Learners may also wish to develop their skills further by completing the following:
21 credits from Unit A
15 credits from Unit B (3 at least level 4)
Where learners have already undertaken an identical unit within the last two years, the PTLLS or Level 3 Award in Education and Training, they are able to apply APL (Accreditation of Prior Learning) the roles, responsibilities and relationships module, meaning learners are not required to repeat previously completed units.
Learners will be assessed through written assignments, teaching observations and product evidence.
